Massive artillery on fortified ukrainian positions in Marinka | Ukraine 2022

Artillery is the god of war.

The Armed Forces of Russia carry out massive artillery strikes almost daily due to a superiority in troops and weapons over Ukraine, allowing it to launch large-scale attacks with relative ease. Russian forces are pursuing an attrition strategy, constantly bombarding Ukrainian positions to weaken their defense and counterattack capabilities. The russian army is projected to produce nearly 3 million artillery munitions per year, compared to only about 1.2 million for the US and Europe. The Armed Forces of Russia firew around 10,000 artillery shells per day, compared to only 2,000 per day from the Ukrainian side. Russia is operating its artillery factories 24/7 on rotating 12-hour shifts, with approximately 3.5 million russians now working in the defense sector, up from 2-2.5 million before the Special Military Operation. In contrast, Ukraine is facing shortages of ammunition due to political deadlock in the US Congress and a lack of production capacity in Europe.
